2016 Completion Ritual and Meditation Podcast Link2016! A year for the books right? Let's tear the page off the calendar - wash our hands of it -and get ring in the new year. Sound's great, except experience has shown that nothing new is available if we just move on without looking back- without including the past. As we evolve we come to an understanding that running and not looking back, is a form of exclusion and does not change any issue or situation. The popular practice of RELEASING IT does not do much in that regard either. When you release "it" where does it go? The "it" is usually our energetic reaction or response to an issue or event, and my friends, energy does not just disappear. Exclude it. Repress it? Send it back to where it came from? If that worked why would we need to do it again and again every year. Now Inclusion is something different. It is through inclusion that the real alchemical process of transforming the energy takes place. I grant you this year does take the award for making one want to run and hide. As we're seeing right now it certainly appears the past is alive in the present - and its right in our face. What can one do, how can one bear to be with all that is present to intend a new future, and resource our self for the year to come. For those very pressing issues I am pleased to offer a completion ritual based on my work as a Systemic practitioner. I invite you to participate in this 2016 Completion and Inclusion Meditation Ritual. What you will need: You will need a comfortable chair where your feet can be on the floor in a private, quiet space with no distractions. I suggest you arrange to have some quiet time by yourself immediately following the ritual meditation. A white votive candle is desirable. 2016 Completion Ritual and Inclusion Meditation. Begin with this grounding meditation that allows you to drop into the space of completion and inclusion. Allow your shoulders to relax, and your breathing to harmonize, as you feel yourself in your seat with your feet on the floor connecting into the Earth. Take some time with this allowing yourself to feel the pull of gravity allowing you to sink deeper into your body.. connecting deeper and deeper to the Earth allow your feet to feel warm, rooted and stable. Now allow yourself to become aware of the support that comes to you from the Earth and take a moment to sink down and REST into that support. Check in with your body and call upon yourself to be fully present for what would unfold for you. Now imagine a large circle in front of you. Allow yourself to become in touch with a personal stabilizing high point of 2016. It may just be a moment, an event, a new friend, an old friend, give yourself time, be spacious and explore back through the year. If you're lucky you may have many, if so see if there is a theme to them all. Now in that meditative space imagine that event or feeling or condition out in front of you and allow all of your senses to take it in on the deepest level -Utilize all your senses. Take it all in and Receive it- allow it to wash over you and feel you. Now allow that time and those feelings to move close to you and stand with you beside or behind your back or surrounding you supporting you. Allow yourself to Feel Strong. From this place of stability and strength imagine your ancestors standing behind you. You don't need to know them. They know YOU. Allow yourself to become in touch with that truth. That you are known, and connected to the strength of your ancestors - it is these ancestors that passed life on to you. They are pleased in you thriving. Take a moment to bow in gratitude and thanks. Check in with your body and receive all the strength available now. Monitor your breathing and BREATHE. Now off in the distance allow yourself to become in touch with a time in 2016 or issue that was difficult, challenging, maybe overwhelming. Take your time, move slowly, BREATHE, be aware that you still have the strength in the feeling attributes of all of the good that's around you. If you discover you are losing your strength and core balance allow more space between you and the challenging attribute, and BREATHE. Allow no more than three challenges for today. We will address the most challenging one the last. Become aware if there is a theme to them such as heartbreak, fear loss they each may have their own unique attributes allow them to be out in front of you far enough away that you're in contact with them. Come to the first one and allow yourself to become in touch with whatever feelings of the heart will emerge and imagine a white candle being lit in that part of the circle for that most challenging attribute is appearing. When your feelings are allowed- You may feel them not them to feel you, only the healing that is unfolding with that in that moment and then peace emerging from that when you're ready move on to the second. Repeat the same steps you may find these are moving in chronological order or they make no sense at all or the least disturbing event is the first, building up to the last, it doesn't matter - ALWAYS give yourself a distance, always keep breathing, keep breathing, keep breathing, bring in the white candle allow yourself to feel feelings to the level of where it does not take away your core strength- but please bear witness to all the feelings that are there. Now to take a step back from the circle and take some deep breaths become aware of all the good that stands with you as you have bore witness to the difficulty of this past year. With this you may become aware that there are others are doing this inclusion ritual as well and that you are not alone -no matter how alone you feel -you are not alone if this ritual of completion. Millions of people would have experienced this past year as difficult as you have. Take a minute and become aware of the strength of everyone that is bearing witness to the difficulty of this past year the ones that have remained are here -they are staying -they will see this through with you -we will all see it through together -allow this new vision of humanity to move into your body and give you more strength. A new unifying strength- there are millions of people seeking the same thing you are. Peace of mind and heart, Joy in life- notice we all seek the same thing - now with this newfound strength allow yourself to look forward once again to the most challenging event or experience as you look forward. Breathe. Beware of the strength of your ancestors coming down from your back supporting your through your shoulders and the unifying strength of those all over the world that seek exactly the same thing that you do and then allow yourself to be with and bear witness to this shock this event. In this moment there's nothing for you to do other than feel the strength that's with you as you bear Witness to this event - keep receiving this -allow it to permeate every cell of your body. Come into your body, remember your ability to respond your Response Ability. This does not mean you are bigger or better than that disturbance, it just allows you to become in touch with a new strength to call on whenever you like. For this last difficult event or situation you may use these words out loud. "I was ____" file in the blank with one core word. " But Today I have a new strength in facing you now. I have a new strength in facing you now. Keep repeating that until you can face it and everything that is with it without feeling disabled or disconnected or reactive in your body. If you find it still difficult allow the Circle to become larger and give it more space- it remains in the circle with you but there's more space- it does not change the fact that it happened it does not change the fact that it is a fact. Allow yourself to take a deep breath and open up your back and once again repeat the words I have a new strength in facing you know. And then allow yourself to become in touch with a circle growing much larger and with the life force that is moving through everything that is present about yourself to become in touch with this life force that is moving through everything and everyone that is present -there is only one life force -become aware that this life force emanates from One Source within you and without you -as you take time to receive this, allow it to permeate every cell of your body- breathe it in. Remember this feeling and remember that you can return to this feeling whenever you like. When you feel filled and nourished by this feeling and where everything is still present- the so-called good and the so-called bad, allow yourself slowly to come back to your room. © 2016 Center for Systemic Healing.
