Every 26,000 years humanity moves through a heightened phase of growth energy. We have been in that for the past 500 years leading up to the year 2012 and from that point speeding up to this year 2020.

Astrology reflects all the tragic and triumphant events that show as turning points in human history as far back as we have been tracking how, when, and where cosmos meets psyche.

I share this because to speak of this moment wisely we must have an understanding of where we are in the continuum of life on Earth. It is of little use to share current astrological transits without understanding the magnitude of what connects it, that misstep often leads to the question, when will it be over.

Rarely is that a useful question. It’s not about when will it be over, rather how do we move forward?

Especially Now.

Why now? There are many factors in the understanding of this moment.
One of the factors paradoxically includes large doses of cozying up with the unknown.

When we sit with the unknown we are in the right place for the new to emerge.

I understand being with the unknown can be excruciating.

Recently, a friend shared she couldn’t bear to see our country falling apart.

I wholeheartedly agree it is heart-wrenching.

Astrologically we see from February 2019 to January 2025 the United States is experiencing its first Pluto return, that moment when Pluto returns to the place in the heavens it occupied when the United States was birthed.

All of the history and potentials of the birth chart reanimate coming to life in the now for the purpose of transfiguration.

At this same time the Saturn Pluto conjunction in Capricorn has been working us personally and collectively all year.

We see Pluto revealing the dank shadowed underbelly of antiquated Saturnine structures and authority systems worldwide
.
We understand the country as we know it is crumbling from the weight of its shaky and dark foundation built on the backs of the oppressed.

We remember Pluto’s purpose is complete and utter transformation.

As an ideal, it may sound amazing, but for anyone with a relationship to Pluto we know the realities and the otherworldly nature of the death and rebirth Plutonian experience.

In that experience, it may feel that the ground falls away beneath our feet and take us to our knees, humbled, relieved to relinquish struggle, and control. 

When on our knees, the gift is to stay there.

Stay there, be in no rush, until there is a rising within us.

In this dark night, we may become aware of a heartbeat and our breathe.

We welcome our time in the dark, we breathe in with the great pause,
our exhale becomes an offering to the great mystery.

As we courageously face our shadows, allowing our hearts to crack open to bear witness and include everything present in a new way.

As time collapses we ever so slowly move into the birth canal.
